Why You Should Run for Local Office

0 15

This week, I’m taking a break from our regular programming to talk briefly about something that I’ve been thinking about for the past few months.

It’s time that more millennials ran for local office!

According to a recent study, in addition to not voting, young people don’t run for office either. As a generation of people seeking to make a difference, it’s interesting that millennials don’t want to be involved in the institution – government – that provides the power and influence to incite change.

There’s never been a better time to run for office, and winning is actually easier than one would think. So if you have been thinking about taking the leap, here’s the motivation you might have been waiting for: do it! No matter your ideology, we need your perspectives and talents.
