Sean Spicer “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Video – Watch Full Interview!

0 17

Sean Spicer appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Wednesday for his first interview since leaving the Donald Trump administration and the White House. The former press secretary spoke about the president, Melissa McCarthy’s portrayal of him on “SNL,” and much more. Watch the video below!

Kimmel introduced Spicer by saying, “He survived one of the worst jobs ever… Please say hello to former White House press secretary, Sean Spicer.” The sit-down with Kimmel began with the veteran Republican cracking when he came out, “If I’d known I was going to get that kind of applause, I would have left earlier.” Yet he also said he’s “absolutely not” distancing himself from Trump.

The talk-show host brought up the Trump’s fixation on size in general. Kimmel noted how Spicer’s initiation with the press corp involved him “saying the inauguration crowd is the biggest crowd ever… You like opened this terrible Pandora’s Box. Do you think that is what got you off to kind of a bad start with the press corp?” “I don’t think it was probably the best start,” admitted Spicer. On the topic of size, Kimmel hilariously asked, “Have you ever seen the president naked?” That got a firm “I have not.” The two men next discussed President Trump’s tweets as well as Melissa McCarthy’s portrayal of Spicer on “Saturday Night Live.”

During Kimmel’s monologue, well before Spicer appeared on the program, the late-night comedian joked, “Sean Spicer is here. You may remember Sean from his hit reality show, ‘I’m a Press Secretary… Get Me Out of Here.!’” Kimmel noted it was “Spicer’s first television appearance since he escaped, I mean resigned, from the Trump administration.””I feel like I’m interviewing one of those Chilean miners,” further joked the talk show host.

As Gossip Cop reported, Spicer resigned as press secretary in July, in part due to his objection over Anthony Scaramucci joining the White House team as communications director. He agreed, however, to stay on for several more weeks to aid the transition, and Scaramucci only ended up lasting 10 days in his big role. Spicer still stuck with his plans to depart, anyway, and officially left his position in late August. It was then announced just last week that he’d be stopping by Kimmel to dish on his tenure during late night.

Due to his controversial role as press secretary, as well as McCarthy’s impersonations on “Saturday Night Live,” Spicer has become something of a minor celebrity, and Gossip Cop has even busted rumors about him. For instance, we called out HollywoodLife for making up McCarthy’s reaction to his resignation. We also rightly debunked RadarOnline for wrongly claiming Spicer was booked for a cameo on “Weekend Update,” the summer “SNL” spinoff. He never appeared, though Trump and his staffers were mocked plenty. That mocking continued a bit now on Kimmel’s show. Check out the first part in the video below, and stay tuned for the rest of the interview.
