BREAKING: New Email Leak Shows Shady Follow-Up To Trump Tower Meeting
Whenever Donald Trump is asked any question related to the investigation of alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government operatives during the 2016 presidential elections, his immediate response is that the investigation is nothing more than a “witch hunt” and that all evidence gathered thus far (that the public knows about) proves that “no collusion” has taken place.
Newly leaked emails following that infamous 2016 Trump Tower meeting between Donald Trump, Jr., Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort, and Russian government operatives seem to disagree with the president’s denials. The news follows a day of questioning by the House Intelligence Committee of Donald Trump, Jr. about the potential that his father has already committed obstruction of justice.
CNN reports that the emails show follow-up after that meeting, something previously denied by those involved in that meeting.
‘An email from Goldstone to senior Trump aide Dan Scavino, now the White House director of social media, reveals a previously undisclosed topic that was discussed at the meeting. It encourages Scavino to get candidate Trump to create a page on the Russian social networking site VK, telling him that “Don and Paul” were on board with the idea — a reference to then-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Trump Jr.
‘One source says Goldstone pitched the idea to Scavino as a way to connect with the many Russian-Americans who use the site. Another source said Goldstone presented it as a “cute marketing idea” and was passing along the idea for an acquaintance at the Russian social media site. That source also said Goldstone mentioned the idea at the end of the Trump Tower meeting, as everyone was leaving, though Goldstone continued to push this proposal in emails in the weeks following.’

While none of the follow-up emails were sent to Trump, Jr., Jared Kushner, or Paul Manafort, the endless excuse that none of them nor Donald Trump had any idea what top campaign officials were doing. Michael Flynn, Trump’s nominee as national security adviser, was making business deals involving foreign countries and negotiating with Russia on behalf of the United States as private citizens, which violates the Logan Act. Paul Manafort, Trump’s second campaign manager, was working with Trump while also working as a foreign agent without registering with the government.
George Papadapolous, just like Michael Flynn, has since pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. Both lied specifically about Russian ties and meetings that may have incriminated the Trump campaign in a collusion scandal. Papadapolous lied about the particular meeting in question at Trump Tower. Paul Manafort and his associate, Rick Gates, who also worked for the Trump campaign, are currently on house arrest awaiting trial for crimes including conspiracy against the United States.
Now the American public is being asked to believe that even with all of those things happening around him, Trump and his family, the central figures and decision-makers in the campaign, had no idea any of it was even happening. Everyone involved in the growing scandals were just “low-level volunteer” workers not acting on behalf of the candidate they served.
