For the first four seasons of the FX series, Jessica Lange was the leading lady of “American Horror Story,” but her run as a series regular came to an end after “Freak Show.” It wasn’t until last year’s “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” that Lange made her return to the series, but in a new chat with The Wrap she says to not expect to see her in any future seasons.
For starters, Lange will not be appearing in “AHS: 1984.”
“I did [Apocalypse] because it was recreating Constance, which was– for me, it was a very important time when I did that first season, Murder House,” Lange explained to the site.
“But I don’t think I would want to start from scratch and create a character.“
The actress continued, “And also I think a lot of the actors that I was working with, people that I really love working with, like Sarah [Paulson] or Frances [Conroy] or Kathy [Bates]– I don’t know who’s in this new season, but I don’t think it would be the same.”
“American Horror Story: 1984” premieres TONIGHT (9/18) on FX.
