Jessica Lange Says It's Unlikely That She'll Be Appearing in Any Future Seasons of

For the first four seasons of the FX series, Jessica Lange was the leading lady of “American Horror Story,” but her run as a series regular came to an end after “Freak Show.” It wasn’t until last year’s “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” that Lange made her return to the series, but in a new chat with The Wrap she says to not expect to see her in any future seasons.

For starters, Lange will not be appearing in “AHS: 1984.”

I did [Apocalypse] because it was recreating Constance, which was– for me, it was a very important time when I did that first season, Murder House,” Lange explained to the site.

But I don’t think I would want to start from scratch and create a character.

The actress continued, “And also I think a lot of the actors that I was working with, people that I really love working with, like Sarah [Paulson] or Frances [Conroy] or Kathy [Bates]– I don’t know who’s in this new season, but I don’t think it would be the same.”

“American Horror Story: 1984” premieres TONIGHT (9/18) on FX.
