Obviously, this needs to happen.

South Korean director Bong Joon-ho (The Host, Snowpiercer, Okja) is currently making the interview rounds to promote his new movie Parasite, which many critics have called yet another masterpiece from the brilliant filmmaker. Speaking with Collider, Joon-ho was asked which TV series he’d like to direct an episode of, and his answer is sure to excite you.

Mindhunter,” Joon-ho told the site. “I’m very familiar with the original book because when I was working on Memories of Murder I studied a lot about American serial killers.

He continued, “And of course that book is written by the first criminal profiler, so it was basically like the bible. I’m very familiar with the serial killers featured in that book as well.

Joon-ho is of course referring to John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker’s Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit, which serves as the basis for Netflix’s “Mindhunter.”

The second season of “Mindhunter” hit Netflix back in August.
