We already have Predator: Hunting Grounds on the horizon, but if you really want to get the feel of being a Predator, you’ve got to go VR, right? That’s exactly what FoxNext VR Studio and Phosphor Studios are banking on with Predator VR, which now has a trailer attached to it.
The game, which might be the same one announced during a Sony State of Play event, now has a Steam page. We don’t have a release date, but the game is presumably going to be on PSVR (again, if it’s the same game), Steam for Valve Index, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift.
As for gameplay details, the single player campaign takes place in the jungles of Panama, where players will be able to assume the role of either iconic alien hunter, or as a commando escorting two NPCs hunting the Predator. You’ll have at your disposal assault rifles, shotguns and handguns, and yes, even the chaingun. Likewise, the Predator will have its thermal vision, camouflage, blades and plasmacaster.
The best mode (in my opnion) will be the multiplayer, where you and a group of your friends will have to decide who plays whom: The predator hunting your friends, or you and your other friends as commandos seeking to blow away your other friend as the Predator.
