Slime Paradise at Sloomoo Institute [ New York]

Last Friday, for its opening I was invited with my kids to go test and discover the newly launched Sloomoo Institute, a vibrant 8,000 square-foot space located in the heart of SoHo, NY – filled with experiments, interaction, inspiration, and sensory delights – All about Slime!

The collective founded by three female entrepreneurs, Karen Robinovitz, (Co-Founder of DBA), Sara Schiller, (founder of MEET and co-founder of Wooster Collective); and Toni Ko (Founder of NYX Cosmetics);

Sloomoo Institute will bring everything wondrous, beautiful, and fun about slime in this experiential space where happiness is infused in every part of the experience and a portion of proceeds will be donated to three mental health charity partners: Love is Louder, NAMI, and Sad Girls Club.

Slime is an exponentially viral growing phenomenon, with millions of searches on the topic on YouTube each month. With an ever-increasing community of slimers, the industry is finding its way into the luxury market with brands such as Gucci and Jeremy Scott, both of whom reference slime.

And for this reason, Sloomoo Institute has tapped one of the biggest slimers in the world, Amy Standen (@scentedslimesbyamy) as their Partner/Chief Slimeologist, overseeing the Sloomoo Slime Kitchen and designing unique recipes for their retail space.

“I fell in love with the magic of slime when I was going through a difficult time in my life. It helped move me from a place of anxiety and stress into one of joy. So we are all excited to bring the wonder and happiness of slime to the world in a large way,” says Robinovitz.

“Our hope is that people of all ages will come to Sloomoo Institute and delight and evoke their inner child.”

General admission tickets, come with an 8-ounce custom slime, among other surprises ($38).
For an additional $30, guests are able to don a custom poncho and participate in a photoshoot at Sloomoo Falls, where slime will rain down on you.

Sloomoo Institute is located at
