How to Set Up an Integrated Development Environment (IDE)

If you’re moving from online tutorials to building your own projects, you might be overwhelmed by the idea of having to set up your own Integrated Development Environment (IDE), or by the concept of why you even need one to get your work done.

Here’s a new video that will walk you through what and IDE is and give you some ideas about what yours might look like (particularly if you’re working in JavaScript, but the information will be applicable irrespective of language or project type).

In it, I cover topics such as choosing a code editor, using the command line, understanding version control, and working with a package manager.

Hope it helps!
