In case there was any doubt that Halo fans are hungry for the long-awaited return of Master Chief in Halo Infinite (or they just really wanted Halo back on PC), according to Steam Charts, Halo: The Master Chief Collection has sold nearly 2 million copies in just its first few days of its launch on Steam. That number also includes the pre-order sales.
About four days ago, The Master Chief Collection reached its highest concurrent player mark of 161,024. That amount has dropped by half, but is still around 82,000 players, with a 92 percent overall positive rating. Did we mention that this all came from a title that was released on December 3rd?
This only bodes well for Microsoft and 343 Industries as they work towards Halo Infinite‘s release next year for PC, Xbox One, and the upcoming successor to the Xbox One in Project Scarlett. The big question is gameplay footage, which we have yet to see any of it. Will that finally be rectified this Friday during The Game Awards?
